This section contains links to useful documents that are often referred to during the course of the practical test. These links will take you to other websites that maintain the most current and up to date information.

This is the FAA's guidance to endorsements that will be looked for during the qualification phase of the practical test. 

This link will take you to the FAA's website that contains the most current versions of the Airman Certification Standards. All practical tests will and must adhere to these standards. Please be familiar with the appropriate ACS for your checkride so you have an idea of what to expect. The following Practical Tests currently utilize the ACS:

• All Private Pilot Tests
• Instrument Rating Tests
• Commercial Pilot Tests
• Airline Transport Pilot Tests

This section contains links to the FAA's website that contains FAA accepted material such as the Airplane Flying Handbook, Pilots Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge, Instrument Flying Handbook, and so on. 

These texts spell out the FAA accepted way of accomplishing tasks required by the appropriate ACS or PTS. My recommendation is that all applicants become familiar with this information as it is recognized as the industry standard.
